Kitchen & Bath in Hong Kong: what to watch out for

Hong Kong's dense, ageing building stock means kitchen & bath needs extra care. First, ageing pipes and wiring — many old flats have decades-old plumbing and cabling that looks fine but isn't, so our masters check around the problem to avoid fixing one spot while another bursts. Second, building management rules — some works require prior registration or a works permit with the management office, and we tell you what's needed. Third, time limits — many estates only allow weekday daytime works, so we schedule around them to minimise disturbance to neighbours.

Hong Kong life moves fast, and many clients are only free after work or at weekends, so we offer flexible visit slots. If you live in a village house, tong lau or an old building without a lift, tell us when booking so we send the right master and tools.

What are common kitchen & bath scenarios and how do we handle them?

Many clients aren't sure what category their problem falls into, or whether they need a master at all. Below are the most common kitchen & bath scenarios to help you decide quickly: if your situation matches one of them, a single WhatsApp lets us judge whether a visit is needed and roughly what it costs.

Scenario 1: a sudden problem affecting daily life (a leak, power loss, a broken lock) — WhatsApp us immediately and we prioritise a same-day or scheduled visit. Scenario 2: not urgent but you want a convenient slot (changing a light, a socket, minor patching) — book a slot within a day or two around your routine. Scenario 3: you're not sure where the problem is and need diagnosis (an unexplained leak, a tripping circuit) — our master traces the root cause first to avoid treating the wrong spot.
